Distractions is a short that has an impact (literally and figuratively) that catches the attention of the audience. It has dimensions of humor and serious content taking the audience by surprise.
There is no doubt that there are many "distractions" in today's world while driving. While texting hasn't been one of mine, use of a cell phone even with headsets, loud music (can't hear sirens or horns), overcrowded vehicles and the like contribute to careless actions on the road by anyone. A comedian recently joked about how he almost rear ended the vehicle in front of him because he was trying to watch the movie in the car in front of him. Technology is great, but requires responsible behavior.
Using everyday technology, this screenwriter seductively captures his audience by creating a tragic, gut wrenching, yet realistic experience for the handsome main character. “Distractions” is a brilliantly scripted short film that is nothing less than an action packed, heart pounding, roller coaster ride…from start to finish!!

Distractions is a brilliant short film that has a very important message. We are all guilty of being distracted while driving and most of the time, we are lucky and no accidents occur. However, all it takes is one millisecond to look away to text message or answer the phone, and someone could be dead. Distractions reminded me of this, because it is a short film that has a big impact on a real problem in our society. If talking on cell phones is illegal while driving, texting should also be. Texting is even more dangerous, in my opinion. Congratulations on the success of Distractions!!
